Oh Daddy my Daddy

I've been with my SL dad for 5 years and 9 months now. He loves me just the same as he did the first days and I love him the same! I almost never (sometimes I accidentally log too fast) log off without blowing him kisses and saluting him. I'm his Lil Chuck, his cutie, his Audrey, and his trouble. He laughs at my antics. We even zombie hunt together! He is so awesome that he is even a Lt. Colonel at Tombstone. That means he is good at shooting bad guys...or eating donuts...did they have donuts in that time period? I plan to spend many more years with him! As many as I can get!

I used a pose from GlamRus Poses called "Mini Me". It can be bought at All the Little Things for an awesome low price but be sure to buy it before the 27th! This round of ATLT is Limited. The items exclusive for this round will not be sold after this month is up!

My owl nails and panda necklace are also limited this month and can be bought at All the Little Things.

My oh so cute vanity and chair will fit nicely in any bedroom! Wimey made this set for The Challenge! The chair even has poses! This set is currently only 150L!

My cute giraffe toy? You can get that at Kidz Clozet. It comes in a set of 8 (7 other animals besides the giraffe) and is 1LI! It looks great on shelves, floors, vanities, and even dressers!

I don't normally wear binkies but this mustache one is just so adorable (I love cute mustache themed things!) It's from That's So Kyoot's Gatcha for Woodland Treasures! There are a ton of cute ones. So if you are into wearing binkies, you should totally go play it!

Shake it Off!

I'm sure a ton of you have listened to/seen the new Taylor Swift song, Shake it Off. If not it will be at the bottom of this post. I have never been a fan of her music. It just didn't appeal to me. I give her a chance now because of a song she sang for the hunger games soundtrack which didn't even sound like her. Her new song has got me hooked. It's played on repeat for a few days now (don't worry I listened to other stuff and took breaks)!

That's So {Kyoot} has released a super cute new outfit that is 50L today (for FLF /kids/). It has that ballerina feel to it but it has a pair of shorts so it becomes an outfit! My most favorite part of it though is the leggings. I wish I could pull leggings like that off in RL!

The pose is from Shutterbug's Woodland Gatcha that ends here in a few days. It's from her series, When I Grow Up". It's mod so you can easily adjust the poses and bar to your height! The music box is from Nach's Woodland Gatcha. Each fairytale music box plays the tune that it was inspired by.

The Keys to a secret

Bluebeard's secret.

This month's theme for Enchantment follows the tale of Bluebeard. If you click through the link below you can read the tale yourself!

The short version is this wealthy french aristocrat. He has been married many times before but no one ever knew what happened to the previous wives. All the local girls are very obviously afraid to be his next wife. He manages to get another wife though and shortly after they are married he has to go out of town. He leaves his keys with his wife and says use them they open all the doors in the house. He also handed her one other key and stressed that she was to never ever not even once at all go to that room.

Of course she does. all the previous wives are in there murdered. The floor is covered in blood. The current wife drops the key in the blood, in shock. she tells her sister and they plan to leave but Bluebeard (yes his beard really is blue) comes home early and sees the blood on the key and knows. He was going to behead her but she begged for prayers. So he let her pray which in her terms meant wait for her brothers to rescue her and her sister. Bluebeard was about to kill them when the brothers came in and killed him. The wife inherits all his fortune and marries off her sister and herself. THE END

ok...so maybe that wasn't all that short but interesting right!?

Designers have made items pertaining to this story! just imagine the fun things that have been made (or you know, go check them out with the list below). I will post instructions after the photos and info and before the links!

Here is what i put together for my first blog for Enchantment.

The items I am wearing from Enchantment are the key headwrap, the key necklace, and my eyes. The headwrap, from Frogstar, is their prize at the prize location. It's mod so you can easily adjust it to fit your own head! with the texture change script there are 25 possible combinations on how you want it to look! This means it will match ANYTHING. This prize will NEVER be sold or given away after the event so be sure to fill up your stamp card if you want it!

The necklace I am wearing is also a prize item but this one is from Aisling. The necklace has a texture HUD so you can change the ribbon color, metal type, and whether or not the key has blood on it or not. I think it matches well with my outfit! I love long necklaces.

The last thing i am wearing from enchantment, my eyes, is from La Petite Morte. "Misery eyes 4". I love the texturing in these. This item is for sale in their store and by buying one color (for just 75L) you will get a stamp card.

So here is how this event works. You go to any of the stores that I list below and you buy one of their items that is specifically made and labeled for this event (you will see the tags and stamp machine set up). You can buy one thing from one store or many things from many stores! Whatever you like! When you get your stamp card...or 10...add them to you (if you have more than 1 wear them all at once so you don't have to do the stamping over and over). Each store also has a stamp machine set up. With the cards attached, click the stamp machine and it adds that store's stamp to your card. Collect all 20 stamps from the 20 stores and take your finished stamp card to the prize location it gives you! Each prize costs 1 stamp card so if you want more than one be sure to buy more than one item at the stores! The stamp cards are transfer/no copy so this means you can gift them too!

I love this event and I hope you all love this round. I had never heard this folktale before this round so it was fun reading into it and seeing what all the designers came up with!

Woodland Helps Make Memories

There are a a ton of new poses at Woodland Treasures this month (along with many other things of course. It's an anniversary round so there is double the amount of participants).

Glamrus Kidz made a set of summer poses so I convinced my parents that I wanted hamburgers. The Grilled kind, not the McDonald's kind. Momma set up the picnic table with lots of options and daddy started grilling the burgers. I'm 4 now so I should be able to grill things on my own but daddy said I was still too young but I could help him. He picked me up and we went to check on the burgers. 

Pudding Pop just released a new dress called Ella and I fell in love with it the moment I saw the ad. Stripes and floral! *swoon* If you haven't checked out Pudding Pop then be sure to take the SLurl at the bottom and see what she has to offer! The Pose in the above picture (minus my momma in the background) is called Grillin Like Daddy and It's a common prize from GlamRus Kidz's Woodland Gatcha.

After dinner, which was DELICIOUS, I invited Natalee over to play and we had a blast! We got a bit hyper, was probably all that koolaid and fizzy soda, and ran around like a bunch of crazies. Daddy tried to catch us to calm us down but momma knew there was no point and watched daddy try. Turns out he just wanted a picture of the two of us together so we calmed ourselves for half a minute to get this sweet photo of us! Natalee is wearing a tucked tank, high waisted shorts, and boho sandals all from Little Closet. The hair she is wearing is rigged mesh for TD avatars (awesome right!?) that can be found over at Lil Olive. The pose in the 2nd photo is meant for 2 adults and 3 kids but since it's mod you can unlink (at your own risk) and adjust if needed! Still cute with just 2 kids! That one is called Beach Madness and it's a rare from the GlamRus Kidz Woodland Gatcha. The pose in the 3rd photo will work even if your friend or sibling is shorter or taller than you. That one is called Summer Buds and it is a common in the GlamRus Kidz Woodland Gatcha. 

 

After Natalee left I played some dress-up, my favorite, with momma and daddy. They were such sports. The pose with daddy is by Shutterbugs and it's called Stylist pose. It's a common from a gacha with a whole series of poses called "When I grow up". Here is my most favorite part about the stylist pose; It comes with a set for Kid TDs. AMAZING! I was so excited!The pose also comes with some props for the Kids to wear but I was laughing so hard at daddy's make up I forgot to put one on! Poor daddy. Mommy Let me arrest her and put her in Time-Out jail. This post is also by shutterbugs from the same gacha series and is called Police Pose and it is a rare. The pose comes with the chair, jail sign, handcuffs, baton, and police hat. Momma doesn't look to thrilled haha!

Camp Hardknock or Bust!

I think it was their 2nd or 3rd session of camp that I started going to Camp Hardknock. It was winter camp and I remember the giant pond that was pure ice and being able to ice fish and ice skate. I remember we had an avalanche so we all had to leave our cabins in the middle of the night, half asleep, but chaperoned by the safety of our counselors, as we headed to an underground shelter much like something you would see the president run to. There were bunks lining the walls and center of the bunker and we "slept" there til it was safe. I say "slept" because no one really slept, there was just too much excitement and worry from the avalanche. What if we were stuck there forever!? Who would save us!? Would we have to live on Mr Gattz's cardboard pancakes forever (read: we already do so that wouldn't be much different.)

Just from that little snippet above I hope you are able to see some of why SL kids LOVE Camp Hardknock. We lose sleep over worrying whether or not we will make it through registration (because to make camp the most enjoyable there is a limit of kids and honestly everyone who has been to camp will agree (I assume). Then that sigh of relief as we see our payment go through just before the 1st or 2nd registration cut off of campers. I wouldn't doubt if many cried tears of joy! The Directors (the Gilmans) and the co-directors, and the counselors all do a wonderful job of making this the most looked forward to experience an SL kid has (I'm not kidding...the timer for the next camp session starts the moment camp is over).

Mommy had me help her get the mail today (sometimes I like to help you know). I can't read too well so I couldn't tell you what all we got today but it was probably mostly bills. I've never seen mommy so happy about mail. As we got inside I was about to go back and play in my room when she told me to hold on a minute. I watched her sort through mail, mumbling which was junk and which was bills, and which was that new awesome zombie shooting magazine she had been waiting for. When she was done she had one in her hand left that she handed to me and told me to open it. I was sceptical at first because I don't want to pay bills! I turned it over and saw my name on it though (I can't mistake that part) and quickly ripped it open. I am honestly not sure what the rest said because I saw the Camp Hardknock Logo and instantly knew what it was. I WAS GOING TO CAMP!

Camp isn't til the 12th but I didn't waste anytime packing. I threw everything I had into a suitcase and attempted to close it with no luck. Mommy came in and explained that I can't bring the cat, or my candy stash, or collection of empty shoe boxes. I reluctantly put most of it back (you knew I wasn't putting all the candy back right?) and was able to finish packing. I waited by the door and mommy had to explain to me again that there was still a week left and I would have to eat, sleep, bathe, and use the bathroom still. She said she wanted to spend as much time with me as possible and to not rush camp because I would miss her and she would miss me even though we know i will be having so much fun.
